CHANNEL OVERLOAD
There’s a secret hiding in our Compact Mixer: push the channel hard enough, and it turns into a beautiful overdrive. We loved that sound so much, we broke it out into its own standalone unit.
Moonbow takes a beloved dual-mode voltage-controlled filter and reimagines it, pairing it with a souped-up channel strip pulled from our Mixer. The filter is placed in front of the overdrive, for gentle signal compression or bold saturation of its resonant peaks. The flexibility of the gain and level controls allows for use with both instrument level and line level.

CONTROLS
GAIN: Adjustable from -13dB to +20dB. Turn clockwise to increase gain.
LVL: Output volume level.
CUTOFF: Adjusts the frequency range of the filter from 20Hz to 5kHz.
RES: Controls the resonance of the filter. Caution should be exercised when pushing past seventy percent. Strong oscillations will occur.
HP/LP toggle: Switch between
high pass filter & low pass filter.
CV IN: Control voltage input for ‘CUTOFF.’ Accepts 0-5V. -

This is a really cool low to medium gain overdrive — warm and pleasant sounding. The special feature is the interplay between the cutoff and resonant controls. With them you can essentially 'tune' the overdrive to a specific frequency and bandwidth and create deep and rich (with the cutoff below 11 o'clock) or thin and strident (with the cutoff above 2 o'clock) tones. It sounds something like a cocked wah pedal, but is easier to tune in the frequencies you want. This is my 3rd Land Devices pedal (I have an HP-2 and their old domino ring mod): these guys are killing it with amazing sounding stuff. I'm looking forward to what comes next ...

quality pedal, gets so many cool sounds
This pedal is a great sidekick, what it does is selfless and stoic. Not all pedals are made to be the star and when I think about it no pedals are the star really; Music is the star. This pedal is a tonal, sonic helping hand. Should you decide to keep it around it'll be there to lend that hand at any time in any situation. There is no riff that the Moonbow can't give it's modest 2 cents to to make a buck.
